Lakota Woman

Lakota Woman is Mary Crow Dog's autobiography about growing up as a rebellious teenager in an uncompromising society on an Indian reservation in South Dakota. It also includes the story of her involvement in AIM, the American Indian Movement that finally gave Mary some direction and purpose in her life, and her part in the 1973 seige at Wounded Knee.
